Small and understated, the Orient Second Generation Bambino is fit for any gentleman’s wrist. The dial is minimal, to be sure, but it’s enclosed in an aggressively domed mineral crystal—a characteristic that runs through each watch in the Bambino collection Read More
after wearing it for a few days and nights, must say that it has garnered positive comments from those who've seen it on my wrist. Classic design, well made, presents itself well- excellent value. Thanks, Massdrop!
Just got mine through and I must say it's a really nice watch, it is my first proper watch so my opinions on it may not be as valid as other's but I find it to be a really classy and comfortable watch to wear.

More chance of shattering a domed sapphire crystal. With this vintage style I think an acrylic crystal would have been more appropriate (and you would be able to polish out any scratches easily).
cincinYes. I had to email Orient USA to ask them a few months back when I was looking at getting one. The 2nd gen ones have just had the movement updated, and nothing else has been changed. The version 4 has had a bunch of things changed: thinner hands, second hand tip dipped, hour marker shape changed, case and lug width size increased. Here's the copy from their site
https://orientwatchusa.com/shop/mens-watches/fac08003a0/ "On the surface, it might be easy to mistake the Bambino Version 4 with the original Bambino. For this fourth iteration of the timeless collection, we chose to move back to its roots, all the while taking inspiration from previous models along the way. Sure, the signature domed crystal is there, but unlike the original Bambino, the hour markers on the Version 4 are rounded and diamond shaped. The hands are a lot thinner (which is perhaps a hat tip to the Version 2), and the seconds hand has been partially dipped with a red accent. The sunburst dial colors are striking as well: the midnight blue and emerald models feature an ombré-like transition which is most likely attributed to the domed dial.
The new Bambino Version 4 has become slight larger, moving away from the traditional 40.5mm width of previous models and instead becoming a modern 42mm across. The movement is identical to those seen in the 2nd Generation Bambino Version 1 and 2 and are completely automatic, hand-winding, hacking. The straps are also unique, especially with the use of color contrast in the leather lining. Additionally, the dark grey colorway is offered on a suede, camel-colored strap!"
Really wish the version with white dial and silver accents had been included in the drop or at least that the black dial with silver accents version hadn't gone out of stock so quickly. I had credit card in hand ready to purchase and then saw that the black and silver model was out of stock already
