As Makami already mentioned, I own this set. I bought it directly from the Originative shop. The set it very lovely, it looks very good and it is in deed very dark. The pictures here on MD have heavy light, that's why the set looks brighter.
Only problem I have with this set is the thickness of the caps. The caps are compared to my other sets (which are mostly PBT) very thin. I mounted them on my Novatouch and the noise they produce on the upstroke is hell! I am not able to use them... Maybe on MX Switches the sound is better, have to try...

GeorgiosExactly. I'm not sure why they would make something so good looking but use thin ABS material. What's the point of these keycaps if we cannot use them constantly or else they would shine?

GeorgiosWhat's the noise like compared to the stock Novatouch caps?
I'm getting this set solely with my Novatouch in mind; all my Cherry boards already have aftermarket caps. Might just cancel if they rattle too much on the upstroke.

sauchuangYou are going to have the same upstroke on the NovaTouch whether you have these kaps or any other after market caps. You might want to mod the sliders with dental band or landing pads to help with the upstroke noise.

nofx1717Landing pads and dental bands don't work on Topre switches the way they work on Cherries. There are a couple of threads on Geekhack explaining why this is.

sauchuangGood morning,
maybe some misunderstanding, nofx1717 hasn't said they work same way as with Cherrys, but they work, just different. I just did it 2 weeks ago this way: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=44692.0 Excellent and very pleasing result for me.

sauchuangHey sauchuang,
I also have a Novatouch and I know about the 'rattle' you're speaking of. It's a result of the actual topre switch being released and clacking up against the plastic of the board. This can be fixed by ironing some landing pads from elitekeyboards so that they're really thin, then placing them in between where the switch is actually installed into the housing for the switch. It's pretty involved and you need to disassemble the entire keyboard to do it, and there are instructions on geekhack, deskthority, and reddit to do it. Just google "Novatouch silence mod" and you should find a tutorial no problem. I can help out if you have any questions as I just did the mod. But after the mod, all keycaps should sound the same - no rattle.

MrSelkiesThanks @MrSelkies, yeah I kinda gave up on that after realizing that silencing a Topre board is waaay more difficult than a Cherry one. My Novatouch is barely a month old and I'm not willing to void the warranty just yet.
I still don't understand why CM provides o-rings along with the Novatouch, they are literally useless.

sauchuangYeah lol I know, I think I saw somewhere on reddit that a Cooler Master employee responded to someone who brought up the same thing about how the o-rings are useless on the Novatouch and they said that they were gonna stop shipping the Novatouch with free o-rings. But that was months ago, and my Novatouch which I just got a month ago came with them.
