The TA fiasco has put me off GMK but that is my only experience with them. Why should I buy this set apart from its great looks?
Who knows, but if you want a real decent Dolch Set then this is it.
No one is pushing you here, you have to make that decision all by yourself.
TA wasn't a good representation of GMK at all. The set was a mess and GMK has never cocked up like that before. There were good reasons behind the issues though.
Like Elrick says, nobodys pushing you to buy it. Just be asured that if you do buy it; the sets have already been produced and QC'd by GMK and Sherryton, they've been sold before with no keycap issues. It's an outstanding set if you like the colour scheme and it won't have any of the issues TA had. :)
I suspect it's because GMK bought the equipment they're using from Cherry and they really don't know how new plastics and pigments work in those machines. These machines have only ever been used with a very small color palette before. Those tried and true colors produce a remarkable quality that cannot be seen from other manufacturers. This Dolch set uses colors from that palette. You're safe buying this set. It will not have the flaws TA had.
