I love my Oris Williams F1 crono. Not sure why people are saying Oris is overrated. There is a difference in quality and attention to detail from a lot of watches at this price and Oris. I own both and the Oris is superior IMO.
jerick70I totally agree! I own the big crown small seconds and the quality of this timepeice is outstanding. It’s noticeably different compared to some of my other timepeices in the same price range.
FYI that’s likely the “lug width” (width of the strap that fits between the two lugs). “Lug-to-lug” means the distance from the end of one of the top lugs to the end of the bottom lug on the same side... this can easily make a watch look and feel smaller or larger than its diameter might indicate.
yes I meant what @Fearlessleader said in their comment, wanted to know what the measure of the watch is from one lug end the other or the length of the watch in other words.
It's not a bad looking watch, but I am concerned about the small seconds.
If they're smaller, aren't they also shorter too?
Does that mean you can't count the seconds off as "One-Mississippi, two-Mississippi"?
Do you instead have to use the short abbreviation, as in: "One-MS, two-MS"?
And what does this do for the minutes? Does it track regular minutes, or the much faster "New York Minute" as in:
"In a New York Minute Everything can change In a New York Minute Things can get pretty strange In a New York Minute"
I think they should make that kind of stuff clear in the specs!
Damn, this is a gorgeous looking watch and I hope it returns soon. Have a international trip in two weeks and this money is going to sake and Kobe beef but MD, please do this one later in the year and I'm in! Anyone have it? Thoughts?
Always love the pointer date Oris, bought one in 1996 just for the look, I've no idea about automatic watch, movements, jewels, accuracy etc then. Still ticking, recently serviced with a new strap 👌
It’s a beautiful watch and perfectly sized, imo, and I considered buying one. But without at least a 2-year warranty, which is standard in the industry, it’s a no-go.
