I missed this drop. How much was this watching going for? What was the total price after shipping?

Always liked the BC3, but just can't get into black watches.

What you're looking at is pretty much the pure definition of a "military field watch".
  • Non-reflective surfaces
  • Uncluttered dial that is easy and quick to read at a glance
  • Not too thick to get in the way of gloves and slides easily under sleeves - sleeves-down is the uniform of the day on deployments
  • 100m water resistance - good for washing vehicles, working in the rain, chasing bad guys through water-filled ditches (been there, done all that)
  • Good lume for low-light visibility as well without being too bright to interfere with night-vision devices (anyone who works a lot with NODs appreciates this - most digital watch illumination will wash out NODs a bit)
  • Sapphire crystal for scratch resistance
  • Stainless steel to resist rust from sweat and spraying down a military vehicle after field ops
Real military watches don't need 24-hour numbers on the dial because military time is burned into every service members' brain during basic training. I'd wear one of these on a deployment in a heartbeat after checking it and regulating it a bit better if needed. I'd buy it *right now* but my budget won't allow it for the next few months.

Pretty good price for an Oris, but the PVD case doesn't float my boat. Not a fan of the date replacing the "6" either. Or the day complication; I know what day it is.

I wasn't too crazy about the BC3 until I saw one in person. Now I want one! Not this one though... I'm not into all black PVD watches.

You can buy this watch everyday online from a large, reputable gray market retailer for less than this. It's not an amazing deal.

Very nice watch for USD 559. Swiss made, day and date, decent movement, sapphire crystal, reasonable brand reputation. It has all the nice stuff. Personally, I just wish it were also available in a normal stainless steel case instead of the black one...

WatchyoutalkingaboutFan of real deals I would say. You can get the watch from a popular online store for 5% - 10% cheaper than here + next day shipping.
