So I click on 'order' and it comes back with a 'SOLD THROUGH' message even though I'd just received the email into my inbox less than a minute before I tried to place the order?
I've only ever bought from Drop.com once before and a pop up message advises that my attempt to order has now gone to request along with quite a few others (800+). I'm thinking they have a limited amount of stock and it's all been allocated hence the reason it finished rather abruptly. Has anyone ever got to purchase the watch from a 'On Request' message or is that just a polite way of advising you that you missed out!
It does look a lovely watch and the only reason for my hesitation over the last 2 days has been around the rose gold colour which from reading the comments may not truly reflect what it actually looks like. Well I'll wait and see what happens but am not feeling too confident at this point in time although I guess there will be other great Oris watches being offered in the months to come. Big Oris fan and have owned my original Oris since 1992 and it keeps great time '7375' calibre and looks as good as it did when new.
how will this be declared for customs Australia? gift? or will i be up for gst? any aussie previous buyers might be of help to me here.

parapowerI have never had to pay customs or GST to Aus and I have bought 4 watches through (mass)drop.
Maybe I have been lucky but it seems pretty safe to say that you will be fine. Postage is also always very reasonable through a trackable courier service.
parapowerHi, I live in Queensland;and I have successfully purchased 3 watches without incurring any extra costs other than postage which has been to date very reasonable. But be aware it seems difficult to contact the end courier as every time they have told me who, and when after the delivery!! So it is wise to be at home. So far all watches have been just fine, in fact the pricing is much better then any of our local prices; on line and in shops. Drop have been very good with their customer support. So good luck; any questions please ask.
This watch is $19.99 on Jomashop.
That's total BS of course, but I saw so many folks posting erroneous shit-prices (without posting links to back them up), I became convinced there was a new game, and that the guy who posted the most erroneous shit-price might win a cool prize or something, so--you know--just in case?
Truthfully, (as of 12/26/19) the price on Jamashop appears to be $595. Of course if you give 'em an email address they might knock another $20 off of that price.
By the way, the photo MD is showing doesn't quite depict the deeper shade of Rose Gold Jomashop shows in their photos. And not to get too picky about it, but I think MD could have done a better job discussing the crystal--Jomashop lists it as Plexiglas.

I'd say you got a good a pretty good deal.
For everyone else, it's either MD's price, or quick trip back to Black Friday with Sherman and Mr. Peabody in the Wayback-Machine!
