Awesome Tool Watch

Gave it some time to review since receiving my order. Purchased the 41mm Date only and its the perfect size. I'm used to large Divers and was afraid this would be too small. Fast shipping. I was disappointed to find missing cards in the box but was expected. No big deal since everything's running well. My experience has been that if it were to fail it would do so within the first few months. Otherwise most mechanical watches will run well. This particular sample runs at +5 per day consistently no matter the resting position. A bit fast but no big deal since the seconds hand virtually disappears. You truly have to take more than a glance to find the seconds hand in some lighting conditions. I may regulate in the future. Otherwise it is very legible. Simple elegant design with meticulous machining on the case. Crystal shows a lot of reflections as AR is only single sided but it means it will be less prone to scratches. As a tool watch this is preferred. Lume is nice in a blue hue, but the minute hand shows an odd darkening at the tip. Mine isn't the only one as pics of other Pro Pilots show this same darkening. Applied evenly unlike my old Sinn. Lasts all night but does dim fairly quickly. Looks great on a NATO! Wears light on a NATO as well, I forget it is on my wrist. Can be a bit plain, not boring though. As a tool watch it is perfect. It has become my daily wear watch.

Watch delivered quickly, but that’s about it

I knew this was too good to be true. I have been a long time Drop lingerer but this was my first purchase, and maybe my last. As soon as I unstickered the watch I noticed fairly large blemishes on the steel. I have also found that the watch changes date at 6 instead of 12. I’m guessing this was a factory reject, because there is no way this would have passed any QC inspection. Bummer too because I had been looking for one of these for a while, and was so excited for how quick the drop shipped. update 3/26: drop has told me that there is a “manufacturer warranty” through time works NY. Which as far as I can tell is out of business, and obviously does not manufacture ORIS watches. This is a “wholesale” watch dealer. I’m guess I have either received a full blown fake or a refurbished. Either way very disappointed with Drop. Won’t be using this service again.
