Hey MassDrop: why do you use the same discussion collection for, apparently, ALL Oris watches regardless of which model is currently for sale? You MUST understand that each model you sell has very different comments that don’t apply to other models. e.g. there are comments here about how the F1 fits... but the one currently for sale isn’t the F1, so those comments are useless for THIS watch.

Looks to me like Ashford is trying to dump some of their old stock. They have the prices cranked up on their website right now, but these have often been below this price in the past, when I considered buying them. The main problem is that they are old (I think only one of them is even on the Oris website anymore) and so have been sitting in their boxes with their lubricants drying out for years. Overpriced now, in my opinion.

I am a big fan of Oris, own several, and have never been disappointed with their pieces. These watches don't seem to fit their portfolio really, almost like they are moving out older inventory.

There are reasons watches tend to show up on MD--sometimes good reasons, sometimes not so good. The common denominator for all of them is that someone else couldn't (or didn't want to) sell them. In this instance, it looks like an assortment of otherwise nice watches that are just a few years out of vogue--a little too big, with unconventional straps, etc.
Does that doesn't mean they won't tick, or do the job they were intended to do? Well, that depends.
Sure they'll tell time okay--but as for looking sexy and trendy? Not quite as much as they once did. But that's not the end of the world; think of it in terms of one's older wife. Maybe she doesn't look like she did in her twenties, but she can still cook, right?

The Williams Crono with carbonfiber face is a really nice watch. Comparable to much more expensive watches in quality.

I believe you can use Bell & Ross compatible watch bands with the F1, you will want to check though. Strapsco has a good selection. Also you can find after market rubber watch straps for the F1 at Strapsco too.
Yes it is very comfortable. The watch is heavy because they use a SW500-1 movement which makes the case large but is very comfortable. My Hamilton X-Wind is less comfortable with a stainless steel watch strap but my Tissot 516 Extreme is more comfortable with the rubber and leather straps. IMO it is a highly recommended buy. I really love my Williams F1. It's a killer watch at a great price for the fit and finish along with the F1 heritage.

Maybe it's me; but why no leather straps?? Are silicone ,rubber and metal a lot cheaper or less popular than a nice quality leather strap? As my own meager collection might answer that question; yes I and many others may prefer leather. Yes okay, this comment does leave the door open for the RayF and company of comedians!! But that is some of the entertainment on these disscussion boards.

My experience is that every time a ⌚ is offered both on strap or bracelet, the bracelet version is always more expensive. And because of my personal preference, I'll always take the bracelet.
However, I may get also a leather strap if & only if it comes with rubber/silicone underside. I like these a lot: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D8GFL1H/
And if I want a bracelet for a ⌚ not available that way, I usually go to Strapcode.

Hi Churchill, looked at the Camille Fournet site ,not cheap but I guess they are of the best quality. But they do seem to specialise in formal straps mainly. Which is just as-well as most of my watches are sports/casual as I retired early due to injuries. Which is probably why I don't wear many bracelet watches; when I did work; thinking back I did have maybe 5 or 6 bracelet watches. So along with the tropical climate here in Queensland and retirement that kinda is the reason for non-bracelet: I do sometimes try silicone or rubber but they get really uncomfortable due to the moisture ,unless at the beach or pool when you accept that under the strap is gonna be wet. Anyway thanks for the chat.
