Fabulous mid-tier Swiss watch. Terrible experience with shipping
My experience with this product was NOT good. I live in Canada and this wasn't my first purchase from DROP - I was (begrudgingly) expecting to have to pay customs. When I went to pick this watch up at the post office, there was a whopping $301 CAD COD fee. Of course, there was a lovely sticker on the box saying 'this parcel has incurred duties and taxes... please see the breakdown of the amounts on the shipping label'. There was no shipping label on the box to see where this insane fee came from, and my only option was to pay the fee, or send it back. When I paid the fees and opened the box, there was also no shipping label inside, so at this point, I have no idea why they are charging $301. This watch is roughly $1500 CAD, so the taxes I should be paying in Ontario would be around $195. I also understand that Canada Post paid $10 as a service fee, which is fine. Where is the other $100 coming from? Will I ever see that $100 back? I have purchased hundreds of items over the past decade, and from my experience DHL is the one company to consistently rake customers over the coals with these fees. I have received good through other shipping companies where there were no customs/broker fees at all. What recourse do I have? Was this DHL or DROP? Upon speaking to a representative from Canada Post, I was informed that this is NOT a customs/brokerage fee, but it is in fact an amount that has specified by DROP to be collected and remitted to them! DROP, why did I pay $300 in shipping for this watch? At this rate, if I can expect to be bent over a barrel every time I order something from Drop, I may not continue to order from this site. I will be speaking to their customer service department.

seiko_killerThank you so much for this review. I also live in Canada and have interest in this piece once it is available. I have a PO box in Buffalo and once COVID lifts, maybe I'll make a drive down to go pick it up there to avoid the costs.

seiko_killerYup this is why I won't buy expensive items from Drop. They do their best to screw Canadians over with duties.

Not a five stars review since there's a little misalignment on the bezel insert pip on my watch. Other than that everything is excellent.
