Darin, I think this must just be my issue, but I can't seem to get the trial to work at all. Every time I click on a speaker preset it asks me to go to your site to buy the license. I have to be missing something.
Are you on Mac or PC? Regardless, to select a preset, don't double-click or right-click on the preset. Just click once to select it. I am guessing that's the problem.
Let me know if you still can't get it to work.
Thanks Darin. I'm on a Mac. Clicking once get's rid of the request to purchase pop u. However I still don't think I'm hearing any difference in presets. Using JRiver MC20 and OOYH shows my DAC as selected. System settings show a OOYH for sound output.
OK. Not sure what could be wrong. It sounds like you have it setup properly. Are you seeing the audio level indicators move in the Out Of Your Head Control Panel? Even with two channel content, you should hear a big difference when you click on the Bypass Mode check box. Or try muting the Right channel and see if you can hear just one virtual speaker to the front and left of you.
Let me know if trying the things above changes the sound.
Nope, no audio level indicator movement at all. Muting does nothing.
In that case, maybe JRiver is not configured to output to the default sound device you have selected in the System Preferences /Sound panel? Please check the JRiver audio preferences and set it to either output to the OOYH device or the OS X current sound output device.
Alternately you can check to see if you get any sound on the level meters when playing audio from iTunes just to make sure OOYH is working.
That did it! Thanks Darin.
