Interesting software! I went to the official web site to check out the different presets available, but didn't see where they were listed. I think I'd be interested in the basic software with one preset as per the drop, but just want to make sure. My main listening habit is various forms of pop music on the computer.
neilometerHi Neil, There is a list of the speaker presets on my website. I should make it easier to find though, sorry.
If you go to our FAQ page: http://fongaudio.com/faq/
Then click on the 7th question, "What speaker measurement presets are available?"
Alternately, when you install the trial, all the speaker presets are available for you to listen using your own music or movies.

Darin_Fong_AudioI was wondering if you had any statistics on which presets were the most used/licensed? I understand that it's based on preference/gear/setup but I'm just curious as to what is the general trend.
Chuckchuck526Hi Chuckchuck526,
Sorry about not responding to your question sooner. I somehow missed seeing it until now.
But to answer your question, there is no clear "winner" as far as popularity goes. I am always amazed at how evenly distributed all the purchases are.
I guess it just goes to show you that people all have very different tastes. That is why I am always trying to measure more systems and add more presets. Even if a pair of speakers doesn't appeal to me personally, they will undoubtedly be someone else's favorite. Variety is the spice of life...

Darin_Fong_Audio@Darin_Fong_Audio Hi - thanks again for coming back so quickly to responses!
I think I just misunderstood how the trial software worked - I hadn't played with it a huge amount yet, so thanks for the clarification.

Darin_Fong_Audiore: Speaker Presets Yes, I'm interested and likely to get this Drop. I'm most interested in Critical Listening. That being said; ' Both Acappella presets as well as the Quads, are My likely choices on my "presets". That being said; Didn't I see LS 3/5a BBC Monitors on your list previously ? The old Braun " mini - speakers" ( NOT to be confused with a line the Importer ADS made later), as well as KEF's LS 50 s ( Their " modern take " on the diminutive BBC Monitor , mentioned above) would also be an Interesting Choices. Thanks for your time.
RoaroftheTigerHi RoaroftheTiger,
Unfortunately, I have never found anyone with the BBC type monitors you are referring to. I never had a preset like that.
But, as always, I would love to measure them. That's the tough part of this is the time and expense of finding places to do measurements.

Darin_Fong_AudioSorry, Guess It was wishful thinking on my part ! Like the Quads, and the diminutive Brauns ; the LS5/5a has always been considered a Quality Standard ! Perhaps, We can hope the KEF ' LS 50s ', will materialize in the near future; as they are a current production item. The Chane A1-rxc, Swans L200 Mk III, CEntrance 2504 and a small Golden Ear speaker with their version of a " heil tweeter" would also be of great interest.
edit: IMHO a.) That especially with the Later "affordable speakers " mentioned above; This Software would be a Useful Tool for the shopping process. As It would allow to 'Audition Speakers' online . Which is a damn sight better; than relying on Subjective Reviews alone.
b.) If these same "budget speakers" were Presets. NOT Only would it enhance the Shopping Process, for them. But, It would be useful to have My Headphones; " mimic the sonic signature" of the Best "modest " Desktop Monitors.
