Drew911dHi Drew911d,
A couple things. Out Of Your Head is not a media player, so it should not affect how your media player apps play files. We do not do anything with default file types, etc. You can't "play" any media files with Out Of Your Head. It's an virtual audio card, not a player. You can't play an mp3 file in Out Of Your Head.
Also when Out Of Your Head is not running, (you exit Out Of Your Head from the system tray icon on Windows or the top menu bar icon on Mac) it has no effect whatsoever on the audio of your system.
What program are you using to play back your media files?
To avoid using Out Of Your Head, make sure your default playback device is NOT Out Of Your Head . Also make sure in your media player app that it is set to output to something other than the Out Of Your Head Virtual audio device.
Lastly, on Windows or Mac, you can use the uninstaller to completely remove Out Of Your Head from your system.
Please feel free to e-mail us directly if you need help uninstalling Out Of Your Head.
Don't worry, nothing has happened to your audio files. It's probably just a configuration/settings issue.
But I am sorry it has caused you so much pain.
