Good to know it will work with Spotify, if not youtube unless one is simply listening to music on youtube which I do.
Does it work with external dacs that is attached to the laptop USB port such as the Dragonfly dac/amp? Or can it only work with internal sound cards? Laptop internal sound cards are quite poor.
Thanks!

MassDropFanOut Of Your Head works with USB DAC's. You can select which output hardware to send the audio to in the Out Of Your Head Control Panel. But definitely download and install the trial to make sure Out Of Your Head works on your system including your DAC.

VayzHi Vayz, Thank you for trying Out Of Your Head.
It's possible you may not have Out Of Your Head configured properly. Your Fiio X5 should not be selected as the default playback device, if that's what you meant by " even when i've set it as default."
Just in case, here's how it should be configured:
Out Of Your Head should be set as the default playback device in the Windows Sound/Playback Devices Control Panel.
Then in your media player, it should be set to output to the Windows default audio device. (Or you can set it to output to the Out Of Your Head Virtual Audio Device directly.)
Then after launching Out Of Your Head, in the Out Of Your Head Control Panel, on the right column of the window, select your Fiio X5. (hopefully it shows up as an output device) So here's the signal path: Media player app --> Out Of Your Head Virtual Audio Device --> Fiio X5 --> Headphones
If you've already done this, let me know here or via e-mail and we can figure out how to get it working.

Darin_Fong_Audiohi Darin,
i've got it to work, thanks for the instruction, just that there's some lag processing beside sasha speaker preset when using X5 as DAC (maybe because it resample as 44khz/24bit here) , anyway maybe I'll be patiently wait for some of your solution later for dac resampling issue

VayzGlad you got it working.
Out Of Your Head currently has a significant delay with the audio processing. On most windows machines, the delay is about 450ms. On Mac it's around 250ms.
If you are watching videos, you will need to adjust the audio sync in your media player app. Some media players do not have audio sync adjustments, unfortunately.
Let me know which media player app you are using and I can let you know how to adjust the audio sync for videos.
