I tried demo version with my MacBook PRO -> OPPO HA-2 -> LD-MK3. For some reason I can feel that sound is out of sync. Even in your online Avengers demo sounds to me it is out of sync with the video. Anyone having similar impressions?

Hi Iglions, Thanks for trying Out Of Your Head. When you were watching our online demo files, did you have the Out Of Your Head trial version running? The online demo files are pre-rendered recordings of the output of Out Of Your Head. If you listen to them with Out Of Your Head running too, then you are hearing "double" Out Of Your Head processing. This is not good and will sound very strange.
Please try playing your own video or audio sources with Out Of Your Head running.
If you want to listen to our online demo files, please make sure Out Of Your Head is NOT running on your system.
With regard to the sound being out of sync, please check the sync by playing your own video file and let me know if it is out of sync.
With the latest version of Out Of Your Head , there should be a delay of about 30ms to 80ms. But not much more than that. It's possible that even 80ms delay is long enough for you to sense that the video and Out Of Your Head output are out of sync.

Thanks for responding. I tried to play videos from Netflix (some series, nothing to fancy) and couple of Dolby samples I downloaded from the web through your software. When I played your demo videos I did not run it through your software, but played them directly to my DAC. For whatever reason I can feel sound delay in Avengers demo clip. May be, as you said, 80ms delay is long enough for me to sense.

By the way - kudos for a great work on the software. Throughout my career I wrote a lot of software and appreciate good technical work and honesty about limitations. A little advice - invest more into UI / UX. Making it polished and easy to use / understand will do wonders in a professional appeal of your technically beautiful software. Don't treat UX as a just wrapper around your virtual sound device.

Hi Iglions, Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you 100%. Yes, it's easy to make the UI an afterthought just to get it working. Honestly with our limited resources, we tend to use all our resources on the functionality and compatibility of Out Of Your Head vs. spending the money we should on UI design. I wish we had the money to design a proper UX.
