Im out, sorry, until the clipping problem stops, I will not buy it. It is good, but what is the point if you end up breaking the headphones which cost 3 times more... I have tried everything from bypassing to restarting my amp, my DAC, the software... but the clipping continues. Maybe next time if I find a way to stop the clipping problem.
I realize that clipping can be an issue.
On some systems, people complain that the output level of Out Of Your Head is too low. Yet on other systems, people end up with clipping. I guess that's Windows. The Mac version doesn't have clipping problems...
Please take a look at my two previous posts regarding clipping:
Let me know if any of these things helps.
Hello Darin, nope, none of those things help. Turning the volume down still gives me some clipping. I think it has something to do with your software encoding... If I stop using OOYH, even at louder volumes, there is no clipping. Even when my ears bleed, I still hear no clipping for the same passage. Furthermore, clipping, as I have just found is not uniform. Some of the speakers set clip way more than others such as Quad and Focal utopia vs Sonus Faber. However, I love the Focal Utopia and the only reason I might think about buying it is the Focal. So, until it stops clipping, I will not engage in your product. Once or if you have found the issue with clipping, please advise me, I will make another listen. BTW, my setup, as of now is: PC--> Emotiva reference DAC --> yamaha CA610 (japanese model) --> ultrasones pro 750
