I tried your demo and was very impressed with the A/B examples of your tuning software. I tried your trial product and that killed any interest I had until you improve your product. Your software is buggy, holy shit it's buggy. Clipping, left channel not loading, random volume jumps (like, almost blew out my left eardrum-type jumps, it has been 30 min and my left ear is still ringing from just testing the input with a simple volume raise/lower from the system tray), and distorted audio issues all requiring reboots to resolve, and then they show up again. Definitely not ready for release to the masses. Just my 2 cents as someone who designs/supports computer systems for a living as well as a hobby. Keep up the good work, it's getting there, just not quite viable yet.
Hi COCustom and akiton,
Thanks for your comments.
While the people who have problems with Out Of Your Head are a relatively low percentage, there are still too many problems, through no fault of your own. And I realize that it doesn't matter what percentage of people have problems when it happens to you since that's 100% of your systems that have problems... I know that's not acceptable.
But I also don't think on Windows we will ever have 100% problem free software given the sheer number of variables on Windows machines.
With that said, the introduction of our low latency engine has probably also introduced more bugs since we are pushing the limits of pushing and processing audio through Windows in 30 to 80ms.
In most cases, however, after a little or sometimes a lot of troubleshooting, we are usually able to get Out Of Your Head working properly on most systems. But I understand that's not good to have a bad first impression and then have to go back and forth with tech support just to get it working.
In any case, we are constantly working on ironing out these bugs and making a better user experience. For a small company like ours, it takes a lot more time and resources to do not only the troubleshooting, but also the testing on as many systems and variety of systems we can get our hands on.
I'm not making excuses. You are absolutely right that we should fix these problems. Hopefully we can sooner than later.
Mr Darin, as the drop has ended, when can we receive the licence for activation?
Thanks for participating in our drop.
The folks at Massdrop are responsible for distributing the license redemption codes for this drop.
We send them the codes shortly after the drop ends. Then it's up to Massdrop to distribute them.
Maybe someone from Massdrop will chime in, or you can contact them.
Usually the codes appear in your Massdrop account "transactions" section. I am not sure if they are doing that or e-mailing participants. But check your Transactions, just in case.
Here's the instructions for redeeming your Out Of Your Head License Redemtiopn code, but the only difference is where it says,
Then select the third item on that page, "Out Of Your Head License with Preset"
it now should say,
Then select the FOURTH item on that page, "Out Of Your Head License with Preset"
In the meantime, please download and install the trial version. The trial version is the release version. The license redemption code will allow you to license the software and one preset of your choice and remove the 2 minute time limit on that preset.
You should try all the presets so you can decide which speaker preset you want to license before you receive the codes.
