Just a quick note, when you buy this Massdrop, you will receive a license redemption code, not an actual license file. The reason is that you need to take the time to try all the presets and pick the one you like best. You can take as much time as you need to decide since the redemption code does not expire.
Then once you have decided on your favorite preset, you can use the redemption code to "purchase" a license for the preset you want. The redemption code will allow you to get the license file for free.
I hope that's clear. So there's no need to know which preset you want before buying this Massdrop.

@Darin_Fong_Audio - You were right, sounds a whole heap better via VLC :)
That being said, 2 minutes is nowhere near long enough to decide which one I like best should I decide to buy.
Even at $75 I feel it should come with all the presets - or there should be an option to buy them bundled together at a discount.
Can you clarify re: redemption code. You seemed to intimate that the trial period extends or something so we can spend more time choosing the one we like?

Hi Bananafische, Glad VLC worked out better for you.
I basically wanted to set the trial timer such that the user would not be able to make it through a whole song. I know it's not ideal, but in order to have a robust copy protection/licensing scheme, a 30-day unlimited trial was easily hacked. Plus this way the trial mode never expires.
You can switch back and forth to another preset to reset the timer so the sound will not stop. If you keep the Out Of Your Head control panel visible, you can switch to another preset and back after say 1 min 50 sec. and the sound will continue and you will not see the pop-up dialog box.
Regarding pricing, please see my previous post about pricing. I never imagined most people would want all the presets. Most people find one or two presets that work for them and they buy one for music and one for movies, for example. There are a few people who do buy all the presets. I do generally offer a show special at the Head-Fi meets and trade shows where you can get a 50% discount off a package that includes all the presets. This works out to $300 for all the presets. I may run a special outside of the meets for the same deal. Or maybe another Massdrop :-)
Sorry about not being clear on the redemption code.
All I mean is that you do not have to decide right away on which preset you want to buy. You can buy this Massdrop and then get your license any time in the future. The license redemption code never expires.
Also, just to be clear, the trial version of Out Of Your Head also never expires. You can use it as long as you want. Even after you license one of the presets, all the other presets will remain in trial mode until you purchase a license for that preset.
