Chiming in for the big-head crowd (size 8 here), some better sizing info would be nice. I have a habit of trying on hats anywhere I go, just in case I find one big enough, but very rarely do I find even a baseball cap, much less a nice sun hat like this one.

As for how well it would stand up to the rigours of life under the harsh Australian sun - that would depend on how you treat it. It's a good company- I don't own one - I have a Sombrero Rain hat by the same company - it's gore tex - I don't wear it a lot and I treat all my gear with care - so my stuff tends to last a long time. If you're breakdancing on your head it's unlikely going to do well. If you're just wearing it on your head - unless the sunlight there is worse than the sunlight in Arizona, I suspect it'll do admirably. I can say that Outdoor Research does make some good products.
