Does anybody have advice? I have a 20L sack; I am hesitating between adding 10L/35L or 10L/15L. I would mostly use them for keeping backpacking gear dry, storing dirty/wet clothes or for food during extended hiking trips.

Ok, I just thought the rolling down argument made more sense for the 35L. They're all reasonably light, so I'm not too worried about shaving ounces there. The ones I don't plan on using would stay home too.
Thank you for your input. I do have an EE Revelation 20F which could benefit from an extra dry sack option.

Benjamin6264If weight is less of an issue, you can go larger as you can always put more in a larger sack but never more a smaller sack. Just keep in mind the height of your dry sack relative to your pack height and width and in what orientation you plan to store the sack inside your pack.

I wonder about the MSRP for this product.
https://www.outdoorresearch.com/us/en/gear/gear/dry-bags/ultralight-dry-sacks-10l/p/2428190050222 seems to be the product in question and it has a price of only $19 vs the $29 shown here.

Hey everyone,
We've just reached back out to the vendor for an update on the remaining units needed to fulfill the group's order and were met with some unfortunate news. Despite being under the impression that adequate inventory existed to replace the backordered units, it's been brought to our attention that these units are actually no longer in location and unavailable to ship in a reasonable time frame.
We realize this situation is very undesirable and we are similarly disappointed in the way this played out for the community. Part of our pre-drop planning process involves confirming and reconfirming the presence of sufficient inventory, but rarely circumstances outside our control dictate the ability to fulfill as expected. We've communicated feedback to the vendor and are taking further steps to ensure this does not happen again.
In the meantime, you can expect an email from our Community Support team shortly explaining the situation further and outlining options to help make this right for everyone impacted. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and thank the group for your continued patience and understanding throughout.

Is this a common occurrence for a drop to end and a vendor to state they have run out of inventory before they have shipped one order? Was the drop more popular than they anticipated? Did they bite off more than they could chew?

We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and package the remaining portion of the group's order for individual shipment. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is sent out.
We understand that the additional wait time is undesirable. If you prefer not to wait for your order and want to have it cancelled, please reach out via the "Contact Support" button in your transactions page. https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
Thank you for your patience and expect an update from us on 12/15 or sooner if something comes up.

We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that many of the individual packages have already shipped and tracking for those has been uploaded to your transaction page now. However, shortly after placing the order, the vendor informed us that some options offered in the drop are actually backordered and unfortunately no longer able to ship as expected. Rest assured, we've been coordinating with them closely and have negotiated several alternatives to make this right for those affected.
If your order was impacted by this backorder, our Community Support team will be reaching out to you directly to resolve this small hiccup soon. Expect an email within the next 24-48 hours.
Thanks so much for your patience and expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/8 or sooner if something comes up.
Great news group! We placed the order for the Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack (2-Pack) shortly after the drop ended. Our vendor will be preparing it for shipment.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you all with updated information.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/2 or sooner if something comes up.
