Will this work on a glorious PC gaming race rgb keyboard? (Will the LEDs still work... I saw a guy say they wouldn't let the led shine through)

PoblopuabloNo, they will not work. You need switches with SMD compatible housings.

CotayOk thanks! I kind of thought the wouldn't (since the site only said kahli, cherry, and gateron) but just thought I'd double check. :)

Poblopuablo*EDIT: I'm wrong. Not SMD compatible. My b*
I am actually using some Outemu Blue's in my GMMK right now. They're the ones that came on my Mechanical Eagle Z-88, but they slotted right in and seem to be compatible. Generally, clear housings plus an LED hole means they will work, though if their bottom housings are black, that will eat some color and light... But not all of it.
Believe the ad says it is SMD LED Compatible.

TaylorDI have the Tecware Phantom TKL. The switches are hot swappable and have a light pass through. Will this still let the rgb lighting shine? The switches are plate mounted

TaylorDMy switches are hotswappable. They are not mounted and I can use a puller to remove them. I want to know if the lighting still works with these switch replacements

AZNDRVRThe bases are black, and in the product description, it says these switches are NOT compatible with Surface Mount Diode (SMD) LEDs. Beyond this, if you look at the bottom, there's no space for the LED to shine through. These switches are designed for LEDs that have their leads extended through the switch and are permanently soldered to the board. So no, I do not believe that these switches will work with your hotswap keyboard and allow you to retain the use of your LEDs. I'd recommend checking out https://novelkeys.xyz though. However, with your keyboard, unless you enlarge the holes somehow on the solder-in hot-swp pin-condom type, they're basically locked to Outemu switches. Being that I don't know for a fact what the specific eccentricities are with your KB (I've never used/owned it), I don't feel comfortable being the yay or nay for you joining this drop. TL;DR - Pretty sure they won't work, but don't take my work for it because I'm not 100 percent sure.
