LOL details, details... if they don't list it they're probably not too proud of it ;-)
I looked for a few sites that sell it for $150 and nobody lists which AKM chip it has . All I could find is its 24-bit, 'high performance' chip. Hmmm

jaxtraumaI'm starting to get bravo audio gold lion tube vibes here haha
PotatoRawrNice logic, appreciate your findings!
Did a quick search myself and found some Schitt products that also use AKM and list 24 192.
The model number is 4490 so maybe it is different. Also worth noting that the 4430ET is listed as EOL :o
peaceful_distanceBased on the list on akm website, both variants of 4490 are listed as 32-bit. I found the 4482vt which is a 24-bit dac that supports up to 216khz. However I doubt that is used because it is differential output which would easily allow this dongle to have balanced output that can drive more sales through marketing.
How much of a difference in sound quality would this or any of these amplifiers make? I love listening to my music for hours at a time, so if this makes a big difference in sound quality I will get one. I normally listen from my ITunes account through my laptop. I also listen a good bit from my I phone. For me, it would need to be a good bit of sound quality upgrade for me to consider buying one.
Will this work with Mac OS? I know it does not work with iOS even with an adaptor, and it will struggle with the power output of many android phones ( all lg series for example ) and clip.
