OK, there seems to be more than a bit of misinformation out there regarding this drop. The drop description is formatted in a manner that some of the most important information isn't on the first half dozen screens or so. The most important paragraph in the description is far later in the text:
Included *USA Spec *Lithium-ion Battery *Battery charger *Body cap *USB cable *Shoulder strap *Cable holder *Panasonic’s limited 1-year warranty
Yes, this is a USA spec camera. Yes, this has a USA Panasonic warranty. No, this camera does not come from or can be attributed to one of the seller's authorized for the Panasonic 3X warranty extension.
At $1799 the camera is $100-$150 cheaper than most authorized dealers. The *REAL* deal however is adding the 12-60 Leica lens. This lens in USA spec sells for ~$900. The aforementioned 12-35mm f2.8 SOUNDS like a superior lens but it has no built in lens stabilization and a shorter maximum focal length. Yes, I know the GH5 has sensor stabilization but the GH5 will also couple with the lens stabilization and provide gimbal like stabilization for no additional cost other than a variable f-stop vs. the 12-35's flat f2.8 stop throughout the entire zoom range.
Simply put the bundle with the lens is a very good deal. I bought in on the drop.
If you're concerned about getting a 1 year warranty vs. 3 year warranty get an aftermarket 2-year extended warranty and you'll still save money.
MassDrop, if for some reason I've made a mistake on my specs please correct me.

TechScottI dont disagree on you POV, the drop is decent, $200 is a 10% saving over MSRP which is the price that most authorized dealers are selling the GH5, but the lens has a very big discount, usually sells close to $1k on authorized dealers, so its close to a 70% discount, but worth mentioning in combo you do the both around $2500 on authorized dealers, in here is $2100, so the saving is still there... but $400, still decent enough for me to buy them, but i also suspect in 2018 Panasonic will drop the GH5 $200 or so, as it has done with GH3, and GH4, so at the end yes there are saving and to me its worth it enough to join the drop, but its not as huge as one might think.
About the 12-35 having no stabilization is incorrect, it does come with, even the 12-35mm version 1 has stabilization, and with a firmware update it can sync with the GH5 for dual stabilization v1, but there is also the 12-35mm version 2 that allows even better stabilization with the GH5, so in essence the stabilization imo is a mute adjective on the vs. The problem for me is the stops, the F2.8 is only available on 12mm once zoom just a mm and it goes up, so the lens is great for daylight shooting, but will struggle on low light conditions, don't get me wrong, its a superb lens with the bigger zoom than the populars 12-35mm, but compromises have to be taken to make this zoom able to have a sort of compact size still, if they were to have made it 2.8 all around.... it would be double the size and weight (maybe more), so at the end is a very versatile lens, but with trade offs. This would be my all days lens, if i could complement it with a Panasonic 17.5mm f1.2 (still hopping panasonic releases something like this).

TechScottToo bad the lens deal was not available to all of us, otherwise I would have joined the drop.
