NickolasStoneWhat are your thoughts on the default 14-42mm lense that comes with the camera in other packages? Does it really make more sense to say buy this body and a lense than save a little bit of money and just use the default lense? Broke high schooler here, so money for value is the priority.

ferduxThe lens that comes with the camera is practically free. You're not saving that much money buy getting just the body. Plus, there isn't really an alternative lense that you can buy with the money you're saving. At least nothing worth while. The kit lens is good, but anything else you buy will be better. I bought a Panasonic 25mm 1.7 and pretty much use that exclusively now.

NickolasStonehow does this handle video? do the lenses for this camera handle stabilization well? I am used to using Canon when it comes to video because that is what most people recommend. Is shooting in 4K on this worth while? Or do you suggest sticking to 1080? (Just for perspective, I would use this mostly for personal enjoyment and free-lance work). would you recommend this for a young, aspiring videographer/photographer?

ITJ-StudioStabilization is a problem with the camera. There is no in body stabilization. If you are shooting video, you will pretty much need to have it on a tripod or some sort of stabilizer. You'd want to shoot in 4k. It looks amazing. I don't think I've ever even shot in 1080p on this camera. Haha If you are looking to take just pictures, I'd recommend checking out other cameras. Maybe a Sony. This camera is fine for photos, but there are cheaper cameras that shoot better photos.

NickolasStoneAwesome! Thanks! like I said, I've got no experience outside of Canon, so what lenses work with Panasonic? Only Lumix lenses? Or are there multi-compatible lenses?
