Papago GoSafe Series Dash Cameras

Well, I am still looking. Car cameras do not need to be weatherproof and therefore that slims the market. The Go pro would be OK but it's missing some of the better features I'd want like GPS integration, autostart or on the fly operation. There are some custon made cams for bikes but those start a grand and up. I have started to work on building one using the Raspberry but dual camera control is a bitch (and I want front AND rear for possible reasons). So, God luck bc it will not be an easy score to find something that will be of great quality, features and useability.

I have a bike too, and would like to get a good one I can interchange between it and the car. And recommendations? I don’t mind spending $300 if it’s good, but I’d prefer to stay under 4

Remember that the price reference was based on the $250 the camera was going for back in 2018. I have a different Papago and imaging is actually quite good. Unless you want to move into price points above $300, the Dual Cam option is not bad at all. If I wouldn’t be looking for something more advanced to use for my bike, I’d certainly would get this. However, as a caveat, I have never had luck with electronics at MD and have come to believe that MD is a dumping ground for 2nd tier products by electronic’s manufacturers. I had another cam go bad and attempted to use the warranty only to find out that the manufacturer website was in Chinese and I never got a response. Same problem with other electronics. Thus, I stopped buying those items here.
