FYI it's the same price or cheaper on Amazon with Prime shipping, and there are about 10 other styles. Just sayin'.

MrubeeHi... are you sure that Amazon is selling the Parker Prestige for lower. I just checked and they Prestige Duofolds are a lot higher? Perhaps you’re referring to the classic which MD had in last week. I can see on amazon the classic and Prestige are all listed together which I found a bit strange considering the price points are completely different? Please let me know i bought the classic red last week but I wasn’t the Blue Chevron as well

MrubeeAnd the price changes ($500-600) if you click on “medium nib” instead of “fine”.

MrubeeBut you're fundamentally changing models. The Prestige is the flagship line now. The regular Duofolds like the Big Red are pretty blah. The Prestige is quite attractive, in a somewhat formal way. The blue/gold makes me think of 16th or 17th century France.

CraigLewisDon’t know what you’re talking about, the Prestige is available on Amazon as well. All the models of the Duofold are available for about the same price as long as you order a fine apparently.

CraigLewisThe Prestige is a junk-jewelry pen for people unfamiliar with the heritage of the Duofold, Geo Parker, and fountain pens in general. Think of it (and probably much worse to come) as you would DKNY, or TomFord pens for the Kardashian-generation.

MrubeeNot the same prices. The mediums are running more, I'll grant, but staying with the fine...Prestige black is 375, blue is 435, burgundy is 440. The Big Red is 300, black and gold, blue and black, and ivory are 330. All prices also for the Centennial size where applicable.

CraigLewisSimilar prices to this drop for fines. That’s all I was saying. Plus it’s easier to return and you get them in one day (depending on where you live). I have mine already. That’s all. I was just trying to be helpful.

MrubeeWell how about a quick review of the pen for those who haven't got one yet, or are still undecided? Maybe toss in a few photos and a writing sample?

RayFHa... nothing like putting me to work. I'm a little busy today so you're not getting photos or a writing sample but I'll tell you this. The pen I got is a standard Parker. Stiff, fairly smooth nib. Not very wet, not too dry. Straight down the middle. If you're looking for bounce in your nib, this isn't your pen. If you want a nail, this is for you.

MrubeeI have a couple of them too. They are as you say--smooth writers, but I wouldn't go so fart as to call them nail-hard. Good nib for someone to work on if you're looking for flex, otherwise, nice-as-is.
