I have a couple of these, and while I have a very strong bias, I can offer this: The Prestige Duofolds like this are substantial pens; they're heavy but with good balance; PARKER does make their nibs, at the factory they share with Waterman in Nantes, France. The process and equipment are identical to what PARKER has used for decades; PARKER offers the Prestige Chevron in just two colors (blue and black, as here), while other versions of Duofold are available, they are resin, not the metal used on these. Resin or metal, they're all large, substantial pens but these definitely feel heavier. Hope this helps.

GSP1888There are a couple more options if you do a google search. A red one (that I would like) and another shiny metallic one.

dedalianThe modern Duofold (those made since the late 1980s) has been available in a dizzying number of colors and finishes. Aside from these Prestige models and a few others (for example, outright customs PARKER makes for Queen Elizabeth), the vast majority have been resin, and I suspect that will not change.

dedalianAhh yes, the Burgundy Prestige. Both the Burgundy and another Prestige, called Ruthenium, have not been widely available ... although I see that Amazon has 1 or 2 of each. No idea why they're not a part of this drop, but my suggestion is: if you find one you like at the right price ... get it. As I wrote earlier, metal Duofolds are the exception.
