For future buyers (Canada): It took 1 month to process and ship an order, whether you want to argue that it was stated July 17th or not it should never of took that long and needs to be improved greatly. Ploom (PAX makers) are located in New Jersey and despite the logistics Massdrop shipped all the PAX's on this order to San Francisco before even shipping them out to homes so we could get the product in an unmarked Massdrop box with ZERO packaging fluff, foam peanuts or any sort of protection in an OVER SIZED box. The small Pax box was just dangling around in there (When I bought my PAX 1 directly from Ploom last year it was wrapped up like their were shipping a wine glass through the Middle East). Unacceptable.
Also the product price was marked full price in CAD going into customs, after duties and taxes Canadians (Ontario) are looking at an extra $45.49 at the door not including Massdrop shipping costs.
Goodbye.

OshyAlso in Canada here. My box had the actual price paid listed. No duty fees.
The shipping time is normal for MD. Ship date is the ship date. Doesn't matter how quickly the drops ends. The manufacture needs time to process the order.
MD is save some money NOW and get your item much LATER.
Thank you MD!! Yet another successful drop. Most of us are happy :)

Sabo.d.monkey@Oshy I'm in Vancouver and had the same experience as @Kosta No duties as box stated "US postage and fees paid". I do agree that it should have been packaged better though.

Kosta* Duty fees is what I meant. So nothing extra was charged in addition to your purchase price? find it very difficult to believe - I just don' t want anyone else to be misguided while ordering from MD (which is great site btw). The price + the extra fees i had to pay were also on the box. That being said, the extra shipping or duty fees were $34.50 which were supposed to be my savings

Sabo.d.monkeyI guess I have been lucky. I have never been hit with duty fees from anything I have ordered from MD.

Sabo.d.monkeySounds like you haven't ordered many things from outside the country before?
Sometimes you get hit with customs fees, sometimes you don't. Out of the last 3 items I received from MD, I've gotten charged on one of them. Of course customs has nothing to do with MD, it's applicable for any shipment from outside Canada.
Lower valued items shipped via cheaper shipping methods tend to get through without any fees. I suspect there's just too much volume to get to most of them by the CBSA. More expensive shipping options with tracking draw more attention, as they're more likely carry expensive things.
I've probably ordered thousands of products from outside Canada by now and I'd say I've been charged customs about 10% of the time. They actually opened the package to check what's inside maybe 3 times total.
The customs fee in the end is just tax + $10 handling charge. If you had bought the PAX 2 in Canada guess what - you would've paid retail AND paid taxes on it.
My local shop wanted $380 CAD for the PAX 2, which would be $430 after taxes. And that was of course without the optional accessories as here.
