I always make it a point to put it on my camera bag and camera whenever I travel. Been using it for 2-3 years in my travels and has yet to let me down. It's very ergonomic and durable; holds up its own. IME, it's an essential travel accessory for me and my camera.
Absolutely love these for carrying my camera. Have used it on my backpack shoulder strap and on my belt using a separately acquired ProPAD from PeakDesign. In either configuration it works marvelously with no issue and using the lock to provide extra assurance is great. Even with my bigger size, using the ProPAD and wearing it on my waste was not a problem and it has always been comfortable and easy to carry.
If you shoot photos with a camera, there is no reason to go without this clip. It is a lifesaver and practical. It straps any camera to any bag/backpack.
I use this mounted to my backpack strap on my left when I am working in the field and will be wearking the backpack. You have to be careful and remove the camera before taking the backpack off. I also use this unit on my belt on the right side, and quick disconnect when working in indoor projects where I will need to climb up and down ships ladders and platforms, when you need both hands to hang on and climb.
I actually prefer the "Capture Clip V3" over the "Spider Camera Holster"! Unlike the "Spider" the "Capture" stay's secure (i.e. doesn't rattle) when moving and doesn't draw attention while doing so...
Amazing little product and I would highly recommend getting it if you're thinking about it. Worth every penny I spent on it.
If you use it on your backpack, you no longer need to swing your bag to grab your camera. It's right there and a lot of times, that made the difference.
