Cult pens has this model for 89.00 pnds. They're pretty quick with shipping as well. Anyone thinking about getting this particular model I can personally vouch for it's dependability, I own four.

Fine nib only. :( Not that the M200 would be the best pen for it, but how do we get Pelikan to start offering the big, cool, fun nib sizes again? Makes me sad that I can't just easily order a 3B.

I received mine last week. Color is nice, but not overwhelming in its beauty. Pen itself is very short. Without the cap posted, the end of the pen advances past the crux of my thumb and forefinger. The most frustrating thing for me is it feels like I have to fill the piston/reservoir every day. It is by far the smallest reservoir of the various makes of fountain pen I have. I really don't feel I could take it with me outside my office because it would run out of ink and I would have no way to refill it. That is kind of annoying. Because it is all plastic ("resin"), it does not feel very durable. Seems expensive for what it is.

dpj1If you have other makes of fountain pen, I am assuming that you have some that fills with a converter. They have a really small ink capacity, I write about 10 pages a day and I can use it for about 3 days max without filling it. But, a piston fill fountain pen that holds less than a converter is not possible. Unless you are writing a whole book in one day with 10 words per second (That was exaggerated). Maybe you are not filling it right. Maybe you are in a hurry and fill it up too quickly. In that case there is not enough pressure created to suck enough ink and ends up creating air bubbles.Take your time and draw the piston back and forth slowly and make sure that the whole nib including a part of the section is in the ink and leave it there for 10 seconds. Then before leaving, just tilt the pen and look in the ink window to make sure it is filled full. If it does not, then your pen is defective, return it or contact Pelikan. Now assuming that you have only piston fill fountain pen (especially larger pelikan pens) then I understand about it being less.

AcutecactusBecause the PELIKAN plunger system and filling mechanism takes up alot of space, the barrel will never fill up completely with ink. There will always be a gap of air in the barrel, and this is not considered to be a defect. Please take the time to look up and learn how to properly fill a PELIKAN piston fill fountain pen and follow the instructions. There is no need to draw the piston back and forth.

JennyzMy guess is because you can find the pen cheaper on other sites and won't have to wait as long to get it.

I just got mine. It's definitely a beautiful pen, although a bit smaller than I expected. It writes really (really) well and smoothly. I'm really happy with it :D

Just received mine in the mail today and it is wonderful! The most beautiful pen I own! The wait was definitely worth it. Also, I am pretty sure this is the "new" version (for those who were asking), though I do not have the old version to compare it to. The blue is very bright and pretty though. The picture was taken with my phone and probably doesn't do the pen justice.

elimelendezAny update on the shipment? Also, could you reply to the question under mine? I'm also curious if this pen has the more vibrant blue or the previous version.

Massdrop: Can you tell us which blue resin M205 this will be? The older version, as seen in your photos, or the newer, updated version with enhanced intensity of the blues and more of a variant within the resin design (swirly)? On their site, Pelikan is showing the newest M205 Blue Classic as having enhanced intensity.

One of the things about massdrop that frustrates me to no end is their willful lack of response to questions like this.
