I just got mine as well, but unfortunately I am becoming a bit disillusioned with Massdrop. This is the second pen in a row I have ordered that has arrived with an incorrect configuration; I received a medium nib instead of the extra fine that is on my order. To top it off, and to add to my disappointment especially with such an otherwise beautiful pen, mine arrived damaged, with scratches all over the cap. I had considered giving this as a gift but the damage will prevent that. It looks as if it has been used. I'd be afraid to even ink it up to see how it writes until I find out what can be done to make my order right. Very disappointed.

Just got the pen. Beautiful, beautiful, to look at and hold. Unfortunately, like most of the Pelikan pens I owned (M600, M1000, among others), this one has hard start (missing initial stroke), a real shame because, when it writes, it simply glides across the paper (mine is a B nib). It is also a little scratchy in comparison with the M series. These are minor defects that need fixing but, in view of what I have paid, I am not complaining.

The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 3/21.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, but we will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Pelikan New Classic P390 Fountain Pen and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/23.

Is this New Old Stock? From what I can find, Pelikan only produced these for a few short years, ending around 1995. If so, the description should mention that.

I noticed that "WARRANTY" is not even mentioned. Is any warranty being offered with these? This model was discontinued in the '90's, and per the authorized US distributor CHARTPAK, INC. and per the manufacturer, there are no replacement spare parts available any longer, so a nib exchange will not be possible. I wonder if the vendor (NOT Chartpak USA) and MASSDROP will stand behind these if a customer needs support?

STORMY_PENSGood question! If the pen is defective or has a problem how is Massdrop going to warranty the pen? Does Massdrop have a replacement pen or parts? If Massdrop is carrying the warranty on the pen what is the warranty period? It is nice to get a good price on a product but the retailer selling the item should be able to help when problems arise.

STORMY_PENSAs always, Massdrop will cover any major warranty issues on the items it sells. Obviously since this is new old stock of a pen produced only in the early nineties, replacement parts are not available. Luckily, Pelikan has such a great quality standard that issues with important components that are not fixable are few and far between.
