Great writer, blocked feed out of the box

This pen is a great writer; the nib is buttery smooth, but it's worthwhile to note that the the pen writes on the wetter side of things, so bleed/feather resistant paper is a must when using this pen. The one star that I must dock is because of the blocked feed when the pen was first taken out of the box. It initially skipped and wrote very dry, but after emptying the converter and flushing out the pen, I managed to remove some sort of black gunk from the feed. Afterward, the pen wrote very well and required no further maintenance since.

this is a very fine pen and carries the quality of the Pelikan name. Very nice. My only complaint is just a personal preference do to man hands, and that is the width is a bit to narrow/petite for me. But a great pen. Smooth nib and dependable writer. Tom
