Nice looking pen, but it's only a 400 size--kind'a dinky for a big, manly-man like you, with those burly, lumberjack-sized paws, no? Well don't despair, as luck would have it, MD is also offering nice Pelikan in the slightly larger 600 size, that offers a little more heft in the hand and, it's actually a few bucks less than this damn wimpy-sized pen! Now that's the good part--the other part is that it only comes in a kind of girly-violet color. But still, it's bigger and cheaper and, you know, violet's a nice color too, right? And don't worry--if all your other lumberjack friends try to make fun of you because you've got a somewhat less than alpha-male colored pen sticking out of your buffalo-plaid flannel shirt--well you just jack-in your your Dave Rusan, custom made, pearl-white, Cloud Guitar and look those boys straight in the eyes and say: "Honey, I know, I know, I know, times are changing!" then, rip through few power chords and say: "I only wanted to see you bathing in the purple rain!" and I guarantee, you'll have all those tuff guys waving their hands in the air and balling like babies, in no time.

RayFIt’s the Monty Python Lumberjack’s Song that’s playing in my head, after reading your first line. When posted, the M400 fits fine in my hands, but mine are not big paws. I was surprised that I have no problems with the M1000 either.
