Rhodia and Clairfontaine are beautiful to write on with any of the pens I have, and they are reasonably priced. Tomoe River is amazing paper and slowly becoming easier to get. I have been pleasantly surprised with a Martha Stewert notebook I picked out of my pile the other day. It isn't as smooth but doesn't bleed too much, or feather. Really it's a bit hit and miss with paper, as it depends on the pen and the ink as well. I'm sure you will notice the difference if you move up to Rhodia after photocopier paper!

Thea_mExcellent advice, and FYI we are working to make (more of) those papers available right now...
