ShyanYou can also find the models with the 14K nib. I own one with a 14K nib and I enjoy it a lot, if not prefer it, to an 18K. These models are quite a bit cheaper and in my opinion deliver the same, if not superior, writing experience. When it comes to writing, I really don't see any benefit to owning higher gold content other than the jewelry "worth" value. In fact, if flex is your goal, it's probably best to stick to a stronger 14K nib.
