I'm curious, what do people use drafting pencils for nowadays. I used to use them all the time, but no matter how badly I want these, I know I don't have a need for them now. Either way, seems like a great deal.

Orang3j3lloWell, drafters are going to use them for drafting. But, by all accounts, mechanical pencils are drafting pencils. If you ever used a mechanical pencil for one thing over another, that right there is your personal answer.
However, some people just prefer to use mechanical pencils over normal pencils. If I'm going to be drawing lines, I will use a mechanical pencil and a ruler because I know I will have a consistent line. Mechanical pencils will always provide consistency, and that's what I (And probably many others) really like them for... However, for everything that isn't drawing a line, I will always prefer a lead holder.

Orang3j3lloI'm a college English instructor and prefer to use pencil rather than ink when commenting on student papers. I think these will be perfect for that purpose, much better than the POS ones in your average store, I would think (hope).
