For those of you who are still waiting on your order to ship out, a carton of the Pumice will be arriving at our warehouse tomorrow. Our goal will be to get all remaining orders out tomorrow, but fulfillment may slip into Thursday depending on what time the carton is actually delivered.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Permatex Fast Orange Hand Cleaner (2-Pack) and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

This stuff works, but your price is too high. Advance has 15 oz bottles for 3 bucks. the cap style is different but otherwise its the same product.

This is available for 9 dollars for a gallon at Walmart. I bought the gallon container after seeing it here to clean my brushes after painting.
I painted, wiped the brushes and applied this on the brush. It took quite some time to take all the oil paint out of the brush (and I had to use soap and water along with this). I'm guessing this is great for a thin very layer of grease and oil but not great at cleaning brushes with oil paint in them.
It would probably work nicely if I removed most of the paint from the brush using Gamsol or turpentine. Does anyone know what the shelf life of this cleaner is?

moazzamkIf you want to get paint of your brushes you should use something like Goof Off Pro. I've been using that to clean mine for some time now and it works wicked fast. Shelf life is two years from production date. I've seen people have this for way longer but that's what the manufacturer recommends.

By the way, yes you can get a gallon of this but unless you have the workload of a full-time mechanic I doubt you will be able to go through a gallon before the manufacture's "shelf life" recommendation. This specific size of Permatex typically runs $10 a bottle so massdrop has a good deal here.

BaneOfSerenityYeah, and someone who needs enough of this stuff (like me) knows to buy this in larger quantity elsewhere anyway. But I agree this is great for anyone who doesn't need so much. The bottles look convenient. I've been using this stuff for over 10 years. It definitely has a bit of a shelf life to it -- after some time the stuff separates and doesn't work as well. I highly recommend the product. It will get *most* stuff off your hands. From my experience, however, it is not very effective with getting paint off your hands, at least not certain kinds. This is great for getting greasy type of stuff off one's hands. Super thick axle grease stands no chance against Fast Orange :)
