This is available for 9 dollars for a gallon at Walmart. I bought the gallon container after seeing it here to clean my brushes after painting.
I painted, wiped the brushes and applied this on the brush. It took quite some time to take all the oil paint out of the brush (and I had to use soap and water along with this). I'm guessing this is great for a thin very layer of grease and oil but not great at cleaning brushes with oil paint in them.
It would probably work nicely if I removed most of the paint from the brush using Gamsol or turpentine. Does anyone know what the shelf life of this cleaner is?
If you want to get paint of your brushes you should use something like Goof Off Pro. I've been using that to clean mine for some time now and it works wicked fast. Shelf life is two years from production date. I've seen people have this for way longer but that's what the manufacturer recommends.
Is it better than gamsol? i generally use that for cleaning
