When is the "Drop" going to get glasses that fit a man's hat size of 7 1/2?
To correctly "size" a pair of sunglasses for me and make a decision to buy them, I look at TWO measurements on the sunglasses; the Lens Width and the Bridge Width. I double the Lens Width (example 60mm) and add the Bridge Width (example 20mm) of any sun-glass, the numbers need to add up "close" to 140mm.
Other factors come into play if the frame numbers are less than 140mm. One factor is the shape of the frame stems. If they are convex/oval shaped as in many Oakley sunglasses, they will fit many more head sizes than a straight, non-bending frame stem.
I LOVE PERSOL'S but you must find glasses that are "designed" to fit larger head sizes. This could be a "Win-Win" for the DROP and the members. You may find out that you will sell more pieces and maybe negotiate lower price in the future on these premium brands.
PS - I have not purchased a non-polarized pair of sunglasses in over twenty years. If the sunglasses aren't polarized, I'm not purchasing them. I live in Arizona also know as the Valley of the Sun. The polarized glasses really aid in reducing eye fatigue when driving. Peace...
Good price and Persols are gorgeous glasses. Just beware these appear NOT to be polarized. Which is OK if that's what you're expecting. It's just that so many sunglasses are polarized that one might assume that ALL sunglasses are, which is not the case. Personally I prefer polarized, so I'll pass.
wcwinterCould be. You're right that Persol does make a green lens that is polarized. I wish Drop specified, or at least showed the left arm, which would tell the tale for sure.
