I ordered the 8649 Terra di Siena with light blue lenses. Great quality Persol sunglasses with the classic 649 aviator style shape. The metal bridge is a grey coloured metal so not as shiny as I was expecting but thought purchasers might want to know.
I am not sure how Drop does this, but a $350 pair of sunglasses for under $100 is a great deal. I am a self proclaimed sunglasses junkie, and I change my glasses out every 2 to 3 years when I get tired of them. These replaced a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses of the the same or similar style. I have a larger face, and the Maui Jim’s, while I liked the lenses, were just too small. These actually fit me beautifully. So happy that I get a stylish pair of glasses like this and they fit my face well. This is my first pair of Persol sunglasses, and I am very impressed with the quality. I know that these are handmade, and are considered designer. I can honestly say these are probably the nicest glasses I’ve ever owned. They are a little lighter in weight than some of the other Persol glasses I’ve tried, which is a good thing. I also like that the lenses are not overly dark, so they will work on somewhat cloudy days too. I try to take care of my things, so I’m hoping that these will last me a very, very long time. It’s a cloudy day today, so I haven’t worn them outside or tested them yet, but plan to do so soon and often. My son looked at them and said they were a cross between aviators and “cool guy” glasses.
