In my opinion this is a great upgrade over the Petzl e+Lite compact headlamp. It's a small and ultralight headlamp with a red light for use around camp, looking at close up things, or night hiking when you don't need a very bright light.
djprThey both have red LEDs. The Bindi’s red is accessed by pressing and holding the single control button. And press then sends it into annoying blinking red mode. Not so great.
The white levels are accessed with short clicks of the button - one for low, two for high, 3 for very high. I like the white-light controls. If you only need low level, you don’t get blinded passing thru high.
