Disappointed about the new e-lite It had the same stretch cord like the zipka has now in the old version

OrCohenYeah, I've been wondering about that. The e-Lite is one of my favorite pieces of equipment; the only downside is that I literally keep losing them because they're so easy to misplace because they're so small and light.
One of the things that I liked about them is that the wiry elastic cord managed to be comfortable to wear, kept the e-Lite secure on my head, and kept with the small/light/portable aspect of the whole package. I'm dubious about the new model with its massively bulkier cloth band. In fact I might order an old one right now so I don't end up having to buy one of the new ones.

DaaaI did the same! Got it at a cheap price too, perhaps because it was a discontinued model.
And then ... I've managed to lose it already. It might be hiding deep in the pocket of one of my backpacks but I can't find it.
So I might join this newest massdrop. Yeah it's the new model but it's still clearly a great piece of equipment. The new ones are lighter and brighter, but I don't like the idea of carrying a storage case around and I loved how the cord strap on the old models spooled itself into to body of the headlamp.
But it's still a piece of equipment that hits a sweet spot, brighter and more useful and full-featured than the teeny tiny lights, and much smaller and lighter than the full-size headlamps, small enough to take pretty much anywhere. (I like to take mine when I do ordinary travel, as an emergency light in case the hotel loses power. OTOH that's how I lost yet another e-Lite before. When I backpack or dayhike I have a fixed place where things go, including my headlamp. But when I get out of that routine, as with ordinary travel or car-camping, then I don't have an automatic instinct about where to put my headlamp and that's how I'm losing those e-Lites, especially because I can stash them places such as pants pockets that I wouldn't put my Tikka in.)
