I wish Massdrop would go back to numbered pages so we don't have to scroll forever.

I wish this drop begins sooner as their prices have dropped on amazon already. I am sure more members will buy these wonderful cans. If it starts this week, I will be the first one to buy them.

Initially I was underwhelmed by these, but I swapped out the crummy stock cable for a cheap upgrade (Audioquest Evergreen Audio Interconnect) and am really pleased. A better cable really tightens up the details and makes for a more natural sound. For the price we paid, I am now happy with this purchase.

Received these yesterday, so slightly faster shipping. These are so worth the wait. Possibly the best over-ear headphones you can buy for under $200.

Ok. First of all, I only read the first paragraph of your response. Me "rubbing it in" was a direct response to a specific person who chose to respond to me with a long, preachy, and condescending post. This from a dude that thought a stranger talking down to me and giving me suggestions on how I can better myself would in any way bother me. I chose to troll him with my response and look at how many of you bit. You should go to bed. Have a nice night.
PS: I read the rest. It makes me happy that you took the time to go back through and retrieve all of those quotes. Good job cherry picking. See ya 😊
OkapiKreepI find it amusing that you admit you were trolling. See ya!

Hey buddy.
1. I never directly criticized or hurled personal insults at you or any other person on this forum. You and the rest had a choice to ignore my post that was critical of massdrop. Who, by the way I have resolved my issue with and I am very pleased with the outcome.
2. Free market capitalism thrives on criticism and comparison of business models, service, and efficiency. I openly criticized massdrop on their open forum and was attacked for it.
4. Massdrop made a mistake with this drop. They obviously did not do their research. If they did then they would have noticed the rate at which the price on the fidelios was dropping and they could have either passed on this drop or went with a lower price. The long delay from payment to delivery has many problems in this age of same day delivery and instant gratification. Many of the conveniences of online and brick and mortar are absent in the massdrop model. That and the savings are often negligable. My opinion.
3. I'm confused as to why you people feel the need to keep this exchange alive. I just assume you enjoy judging others. I suggest you choose to not respond.
Have a nice day
PS: if you bought these headphones you made a good choice. They are quite fantastic.
OkapiKreep1. You're right, you are entitled to your opinion and "have the right to critique in the forum"... and we "are free to ignore" you. But it would have been more pleasant to have simply informed us that another vendor had a lower price at the time... and that Massdrop was gracious enough to grant you a refund... and left it at that. You chose to rub it in*, which gives the impression that you are "trying to start a fight".
* "My new headphones are awesome. I really like them. Sorry you have to wait." "You chose to fight and try to insult me. You failed. Gonna go listen to some sweet tunes with my new, insured Fidelios now. Hope your drop doesn't get delayed. Bye now."
2. Those who joined this drop did so willingly. No one got "hosed". Free-market capitalism at work.
3. I chose to call you out on your aggressive tone: "Massdrop sucks. I need to get off of their email list" , "Unfortunately I got suckered in just like you." "Massdrop is based on a poor business model and will die a quick and quiet death. I think you're wasting your own time."
4. I don't think Massdrop made a mistake with this drop. $119.99 plus shipping was the lowest I've seen for the L2's. It's entirely possible - likely even - that Amazon and Newegg lowered their prices to match Massdrop. I see they've since raised them back to $170+.
You have a nice day, too.
P.S. I recently owned the L2's, but I choose not to keep them due to their V-shaped sound, top-of-the-head pressure point, and ear-cups that were slightly too small.

Jesus. You guys are pretty nasty aren't you?
OkapiKreepNow that's the pot calling the kettle black! Read over your second-to-longest message on the previous page. You were rubbing in what you perceived as a better purchasing decision. It was a rude and unnecessary post.
As others have tried to explain to you, no one was "suckered in" on this drop. I understand that, occasionally, Massdrop orders encounter unforeseen circumstances (delayed shipments, inventory issues, etc.). But Massdrop customers should be aware of this business model* and are free to make the purchase - or not. This is free-market capitalism at work.
* Items of a drop are rarely 'in stock' at the time of purchase and will be shipped in the future.
