I know this is an old product post, but for those who still have this headphone, and have issues with the pads, there are some 3rd party pads available. I've been using a pair I got from an AliExpress seller, but Geekria also has a pair. https://www.geekriashop.com/products/geekria-earpad-replacement-for-philips-l1-l2-l2bo-fidelio-headphone-ear-pad-ear-cushion-ear-cups-ear-cover-earpads-repair-parts-black Mine are physically very similar, but the pleather is very close to the original, but just a bit different that they get a little more warm than the original pads. Sound quality doesn't seem to be affected since they're the same size and very close material. The issue I have with this now is the headband padding glue and the headband material is also starting to deteriorate. It's a shame, I rarely use these headphones, they've mostly sat in my carry case, and they've been falling apart.

My pads ended up ripping (a small, barely noticeable tear quickly turned into half the pad falling apart at the seam), with one side currently being held together with a helluva lot of duct tape. A fix to this would be to buy a pair of covers, but I'm just going to opt out and try to grab a new pair of headphones (love 'em to death and they're a good pair which lasted me a bit over a year, but they're too much trouble).

As bad as the earpa As bad as the earpads degrading is. I noticed this hissing sound coming from one of my headphones "speakers". For months I thought I had developed tinnitus, it wasn't until today that I accidentally my headphones backwards that I notice the hissing switched sides. As bad as the earpads degrading is.
