Hoodini6822Probably should let people know that's with a $30 coupon, not upfront, so they don't go "BUT IT SAYS $129!" Was mirrored below, but hidden in comments.

Hoodini6822Did you see the BS Holiday Specials and Audiophile "discounts"? Some items I've been checking back constantly are being marketed as "20%, 50% off!" and that is just lying, all that equipment has been with that price since the beginning of times! Drop is dropping their standards more, and more, and more, and more...so sad, considering where they come from. EDIT: added question mark

Alejo1707Yeah, it's very unfortunate and they don't even care.

Alejo1707It's unfortunate. There are some ok deals here and there, but you really have to dig for them. Most of their catalog can be found in other places for similar prices and faster shipping, excluding their collaborations. By the time I had disposable income Drop had already mostly moved away from the group buy setting, which really sucks since it made it such a unique marketplace to begin with.

postwarscarsI would even argue that, so far they only thing that keeps me checking back on Drop from time to time are artisan keycaps and a couple of Drop's own products. Besides those, most things are now Chinese products or useless deals for outdated equipment, and I know you can find hidden gems in the ChiFi market, but digging gold among trash is not something I am looking forward to.

SymaticAmazon is destructive for the industry itself, it has monopolistic practices, while Drop is not consumer friendly, pick your poison I guess...

Alejo1707Yeah, I'm still debating whether or not to keep using Drop, Cause of their poor quality control and such

xxruneThe only complain in terms of items that have been delivered to me are poor delivery times (painted as GBs issues), lack of interesting in keeping good communication with their community, and price ramps for no apparent good reason (like Holy Pandas). One item I love and when arrived worked flawlessly are my Helm TWS 5.0. 2 months after my purchase their battery will refuse to go above 90%. Besides that I've had no QC complaints, although I know that my incoming Invyr stems are a mess, but at least they are offering me a full refund. No company is perfect, and I understand that, but since they paint themselves as community heroes, who strive to offer unique experiences, I can tell from my short one, buying here is no different from buying on eBay, minus the stylized web site. I don't feel I'm buying from a premium company. EDIT: Forgot about their blatant lying, painting all-time existing deals as holiday specials. That left me with really bad taste about them, and if not for a couple of items that still interest me, I would have left them already.

Alejo1707Agreed, I'm probably gonna wait and see what they can offer me here when black Friday kicks off, if it's something good I will stay and if not probably not
