I ordered the pens with refills. Instead of refills I got entire packs of pens? I took the ink tube out and they are NOT the same size as the ink tubes inside the Dr. Grips. Is this some kind of mistake?

This might seem like a stupid question, but I just can't figure out how to use the mechanical pencil. There is lead in the pen but I can't figure out how to make it come down so I can write with it. I have even tried putting the lead in thru the tip, but that doesn't seem to work either.

vorpalThe pen clip is the pencil "slider". It should engage and lock when you gently slide it down, producing the pencil tip. Press the "slider" further with a little bit more force and the lead should come out.
Now in the two pack that I got, one acted funny and did not engage like my other one. So if it does not have the two step slide, then it could be something wrong with it. I played around with it for a few minutes but could not get it to work but the person I gave it to did not care much for the pencil anyway.
Update: Checked the pen that was having problems and looks like the jam was sorted out, pen is working well.

Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.
Currently we expect that these will be in our warehouse inline with the expected ship date listed in the drop description page.

Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Pilot Dr. Grip 4+1 Multi-Function (2-Pack) and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/27.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 3/23.

FYI I use Uni Style-Fit refills in my Dr. Grip 4+1. They don't last a very long time, but the writing is much better than the stock ballpoint refills. You can get hard to find refills like the Uni Style-Fit from Jetpens.com.

Quick update for the group. The shipments for this order arrived late afternoon today, and our warehouse staff were able to quickly prepare them for individual orders today. By the end of the day, we managed to get almost all of the orders from this drop shipped out.
Our warehouse guys will be back at it first thing tomorrow. And we should be able to get the rest prepared and ship out by end of the day.

Great news! The vendor let us know that the group's order is on its way to our warehouse now. We are expecting the shipment to arrive early next week.
