This is a fine drop for anybody looking to get started with fountain pens. I would highly recommend the Metropolitan especially - fantastic pen that really ought to be more expensive. Using a dot grid pad such as the Rhodia ones will also be helpful in honing your writing skills and getting consistent lettering (if that's what you're looking for).
A fine long (and old!) video on Youtube for aspiring calligraphers can be found here:

For further support and information in learning calligraphy, I also recommend IAMPETH, which has scans of old workbooks that have writing drills and examples. http://www.iampeth.com/
Lastly, I like to give a shoutout to all of the enthusiasts and professionals on Youtube that have product reviews. Brian Goulet (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPdFDFTd6P1a__tAr8CrpCQ), pelahale (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFE01B15DCA7CA8F5), sbrebrown (https://www.youtube.com/user/sbrebrown), etc.
