Mine still haven't arrived. Which is funny, another item I got from Massdrop later arrived just 9 days after shipment. International order (Brazil), BTW.

gcolombelliSame thing here, my zippo arrived over two weeks ago and was ordered only five days prior to the pens. I wonder if it's the brazilian customs.

CedrusDudeIt may be a customs thing, or it may be a local mail office thing. The last few months pretty much everything I got from the mail was delayed for a week or two. I have friends and relatives living just a few blocks away and they don't have the same issue.
I just got my pens today. Customs released my package 18/12/2014, but I only got the arrival notification and tax notice 24/12 at 12:45, so everything was already closed. I had to pay 49,25BRL in taxes at the mail office to get it. The exchange rate used to calculate the tax due was from 09/12. For some reason customs decided not to charge any taxes on my ErgoDox Wrist Rest, which arrived a lot faster than the pens, despite being shipped two weeks later.

gcolombelliWhy did you get taxed, wasn't the drop under the legal maximum? And, just out of curiosity, in what percentage was it?

CedrusDudeTrying to understand brazilian customs is a futile exercise. Luckily I was charged "just" the standard 60% tax (on top of the added merchandise and shipping values) plus a fixed fee, which amounted to 49,75 BRL. I say luckily because sometimes they try to charge ridiculous sums of money on relatively inexpensive items, sometimes they charge the standard 60%, sometimes nothing at all. A friend of mine had to complain once when she was charged taxes on a book order, which is ridiculous, as books shouldn't be taxed.

gcolombelliI just got a telegram today (they are saying it's the second one they have sent), 49,30 BRL; I was never taxed for orders under 50 USD before. Any way, at least the pen is here and they've never taxed my books!

CedrusDudeGlad to know you got your pens.
Books are exempt from taxes, so it was probably a mistake. Every time I get something through a courier service or priority mail I get taxed, no matter how little I paid for the product. Whenever I have a choice, I avoid couriers and express delivery like a plague. It just shaves off a few days if everything goes right, and I always end up paying almost as much in taxes and fees as I paid for the product. And if something goes wrong, it can be a bitter experience.
Once I was asked to pay over 300 BRL for a 10 USD product (that's including the shipping cost) in taxes and other fees on a piece of educational software. It was really ridiculous, after spending quite a bit of money on long distance calls trying to find out if it was some mistake I gave up. I still got some angry calls from someone in the courier service asking for money and just told them to return it to the sender or throw it in the garbage. After a few months it was sent to me.
