Hey all,
My pens arrived safely today. I got the Classic Black in medium and the Lizard in fine. I was surprised by the quality of both of them despite being fairly inexpensive pens. In preparation, I had already purchased con-50 converters to put inside the pens to use with my bottled ink. The included converters work just fine, but I highly suggest buying con-50 converters because you can see the ink level and fill consistently. The Lizard is a bit more grey/brown instead of the greenish tone that the picture suggests, but it still looks very nice. After doing writing samples with each, the M nib writes smooth and slightly wet, which usually my preference for pens. The F nib is actually a bit more tactile/toothy than I wished, so I looked at the tines, but they look fine, so I'm assuming that's just the nature of an inexpensive Japanese fine nib.
If this drop should come around again, I'd definitely be in for a couple more medium pens in different colors. Pilot really does this pen right for the price-point.
