ZALHERAThere are model numbers and revisions, at least from what i've seen listed in Amazon. If i recall correctly, the standard colours models have two revisions to date.
HardwaterThe numbers you see on Amazon are probably product id codes used for reference and cataloguing. They have nothing to do with the Metropolitans.
As for revisions, the first Metropolitans were black, silver and gold (each with a plain, dotted or zig-zag center band). Then came the Animal collection. So, there haven't been any revisions, technically. Just new colours.
It doesn't count as a revision, but the truth is that the first Metropolitans used to be easier to take apart. The nib would come out easily. It ain't like this now: it's really hard to take the nib out the first time. The same goes for the CON-50, only with the Goulet Grip was I able to disassemble the thing.
