gyamsNot to plug the Goulets again but check out their video on how to fill a Vanishing Point. Fill the converter outside of the body.
As for ink, go for your favorite colors. I feel like most of all inks are great quality. Just avoid iron-gall inks like Diamine Registrars and a lot of Rohrer & Klingners. Iron-gall based inks will plug up your pen. If the Pilot Iroshizuku ink pops back up on Massdrop, definitely grab a bottle. It's really high quality ink.
Make sure to flush the pen thoroughly when changing colors so you don't end up mixing colors. Let it dry properly or any remaining water will really dilute the color.
Thumb through the Goulet's swab shop to compare colors. Any ink they sell is high quality.
